Manchester United legend Keane slams Liverpool

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has slammed Liverpool claiming that he would not watch them even if they were playing in his own garden.

Jurgen Klopp’s men recorded an easy 3-0 victory over Maribor on Wednesday through goals from Mohamed Salah, Emre Can and Daniel Sturridge.

Despite the fact that the Reds have won their last two matches in succession, their form overall has been below par this season so far.

They have 16 points from their opening ten games in the Premier League and are already 12 points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

Despite Liverpool winning in the Champions League on Wednesday, Keane was not impressed with their performance.

He told ITV as reported by Goal: “It’s hard to figure out Liverpool at the moment. It’s hard to get excited about them. To me, they are going nowhere fast.

“They’re neat and tidy, but defensively… come the end of the season when the prizes are being given out, Liverpool will be nowhere near them.

“If Liverpool were playing out in my back garden, I wouldn’t watch them. They’re just drifting. Drifting nowhere.”
