Football pundit Charlie Nicholas has predicted that Everton will lose their Europa League game against Lyon on Thursday.
The Toffees are currently in poor form and are in 18th position on the Premier League standings with just eight points from their ten games thus far.
In addition to this, they are also in last position in Group E of the Europa League after taking just one point from their three games thus far.
The Merseyside club have failed to win during their last six matches in all competitions and this also included a 2-1 loss to Lyon at Goodisan Park last month. They head to France as the firm underdogs.
Speaking about Everton’s chances of the match on Thursday, Nicholas said: “I think this is just one they’ll have to write off.
“I just don’t see any chance of David Unsworth getting this job, not because he’s not decent, but because you need to win football matches to get the job and I just don’t see where the goals or the clean sheets are coming from.”
