Paul Clement not interested in potentially reuniting with Ancelotti at Everton

Swansea boss Paul Clement has dismissed speculation suggesting that he could be set to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti at Everton.

Following the sacking of Ronald Koeman from Everton on Monday, Ancelotti has been linked with the managerial position.

However recent speculation has added that the Italian will only be interested in making a return to English football if Clement works as his assistant. The two previously worked together at Real Madrid, Paris-Saint Germain and Bayern Munich.

Swansea are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and Clement could be one of the managers that will be sacked this season.

However he has insisted that he has no plans to leave the Welsh outfit and said: “It would not interest me at all. I enjoy being here and think I’m at a really good club. It is a massive challenge that I am enjoying and I have no plans to go anywhere.

“I have not spoken to Carlo for over a week so I don’t know anything about that situation [the Everton job].”
