Nice striker Mario Balotelli has taken a swipe at his former clubs Liverpool and Manchester City. Nice have failed to build on from their impressive form last season and currently are in 14th place on the French Ligue 1 standings.
Despite the clubs underwhelming performances on the field, Balotelli has been impressive in front of goal and has netted eight times from 11 matches in all competitions for his club this season.
The Italy international has appeared to take a swipe at the two clubs that he played for in England, claiming that their fans would have abandoned them if they were in a similar position to where Nice are this season.
Balotelli said: “At my former clubs, a situation like ours would never have gone down so well. There, against Strasbourg, we played very badly and lost a match that we never should have lost, the supporters were always behind us, singing, applauding. To have support like that, it’s magnificent.”
