Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren appears to have taken serious action on social media following his poor performance during his sides 4-1 defeat against Tottenham on Sunday.
According to a report published by The Sun, the Croatian has removed the word “Liverpool” from his account as well as disabled comments on his account and removed the work “Liverpool”.
Liverpool suffered a 4-1 humiliation against Spurs at Wembley Stadium and Lovren was one of the players that pundits and fans have singled out for a poor performance. He was at fault for the two opening goals.
Manager Jurgen Klopp even criticized Lovren after the game, saying: “The whole game, the whole result was all our fault – Tottenham was good, they needed to be good, but we made it much too easy for them.
“The first goal was a little throw in and we are not really there. It was just really bad, bad, bad defending. The second, a counter attack, when the ball passes Dejan Lovren it is already too late.”
