According to reports, Celtic and Everton are interested in Red Star Belgrade forward Richmond Boakye. The Ghana international has impressed this year and has scored 31 goals for club and country alone.
The player’s agent said: “There’s already (interest) announced from Everton and Monchengladbach, who after his match in Cologne began the mission with the goal of buying a player.”
Boakye will surely be at a stage of his career where he will feel that the time is right to leave Serbia and play in one of the World’s elite Leagues.
Celtic have developed a reputation of signing players from non-elite European Leagues during recent years and Boaye could be a good replacement for Moussa Dembele, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the club.
Everton have also had troubles in front of goal after Romelu Lukaku left the club to join Manchester United.
