Everton give deadline to Koeman to turn things around

According to reports, Everton officials have given Ronald Koeman one month to turn around the fortunes of the Merseyside club.

The Toffees have started the season in poor form after picking up just several points from their opening several games and they currently lie just two points above the relegation zone.

The club spent heavily on bolstering their squad during the summer and many people expected that they would challenge for a place in the top four.

However based on the current way that they are playing, they could end up battling for survival this season unless things improve soon.

Koeman spent over £150 million on new players during the summer and also secured the signature of Wayne Rooney.

Should results not improve during the next month, Koeman will be sacked. He is fortunate that the club are willing to give him a bit more time before making a decision.
