Legend questions Everton star for making uncharacteristic errors

Everton club legend Kevin Ratcliffe has commented on the performances of Ashley Williams and said that the veteran is making uncharacteristic errors.

Ratcliffe has pointed out that errors from Williams have caused the team to concede goals against Manchester United in the Premier League and against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League.

Everton are currently under pressure after only picking up several points from their opening several games and Williams is one of the players who has been singled out for criticism in particular. Their defence has also been below par and they have already conceded 12 goals.

Ratcliffe feels that Williams has been uncharacteristic and said, “Ashley Williams has been punished for two high profile mistakes this season. Sometimes you can make a mistake and get away with it and people don’t remember it.

“In Ashley’s case his mistakes have cost goals against Manchester United and Apollon Limassol. I have seen Ashley an awful lot in action for Wales and errors like that are uncharacteristic.”
