According to reports, Inter Milan and Liverpool are set to battle to sign Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.
Reus is currently sidelined after tearing his cruciate ligament when Dortmund beat Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Cup final in May and is only expected to be back in action early next year.
The player has been hampered by injuries throughout his career despite being highly rated. Liverpool have been long-term admirers of Reus and were thought to make a move this summer, however his injury layoff may have hampered a move.
However recent reports have suggested that Inter are also interested in the Germany international and could rival the Reds next summer.
Liverpool could have an advantage in the race to sign the player given that they are managed by Jurgen Klopp who is a German and who will be familiar with Reus as he managed Dortmund for several years.
