Everton plotting a move for Championship defender

According to reports, Everton are interested in signing Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry.

The Toffees spent heavily during the summer transfer widow bringing in the likes of Sandro Ramirez, Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Michael Keane and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

However they are clearly struggling in the Premier League having only taken several points from their opening several games and may need to make more investments during the January transfer window.

They may also need to bring in more reinforcements at the back given that Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams are now 35 and 33 and are both nearing the end of their careers.

The 20 year old Fry has showed promise during the early parts of this season with Boro and it is perhaps just a matter of time before he makes the step up to the Premier League.

He will be a good investment for Koeman’s team especially considering that they need to start preparing for life once Jagielka and Williams leave the club.
