Former Germany national team defender Christoph Metzelder has revealed that he thinks that current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is the best man to become the new manager of Bayern Munich.
The German giants have been without a manager since they sacked Carlo Ancelotti following their recent 3-0 Champions League defeat against French outfit PSG.
Klopp is regarded as one of the top managers in World football and it would be a major coup if Bayern do end up recruiting him.
That said, a move could be unlikely considering that Klopp had a successful spell managing Bayern’s fierce rivals Borussia Dortmund and managing them could be viewed as a betrayal which he will want to avoid.
Metzelder however believes that Klopp is the right man to manage Germany’s top club and favors him above the likes of Loius Van Gaal, Joachim Low and Luis Enrique who have also been linked with the job.
He said, “He is a top man-manager and could make the complex power relationship work wonderfully. Nagelsmann is an outstanding coach but Bayern is, of course, a different size. From my point of view, Jurgen Klopp would be ready.”
