Rafael Benitez draws his plans out for Liverpool encounter

Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is hoping that his side can regain their groove during their game against Liverpool this Sunday.

After winning three League matches in succession, the Magpies were defeated 1-0 by Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend. They did look strong during the game but were unable to snatch an equalizer.

Benitez will now hope that his side can show a similar level of assertiveness against his former club Liverpool.

The Magpies can go into the game with confidence especially considering that the Reds are not a team that is currently playing with a high level of confidence after having had their defensive problems clearly exposed.

Following the game against Brighton, the Spanish manager said, “In the end we had control of the game. You have to give credit to them because they did well in part of the second half, but they had chances and we had chances.

“I’m not happy with the way we conceded because you never know what is a legal block or not. After that we had chances to score and we didn’t do it.”
