Liverpool are in a rut at the moment, with failure to win any of their games this month giving their fans a major concern.
While it’s popular consensus that the defending of the Anfield outfit leaves little to be desired, the mode in which they have conceded some of their recent goals underlines a lack of concentration and their aerial struggles.
As Kop legend Jamie Carragher noticed, the players have had issues dealing with throw-ins of recent, with both Leicester City and Burnley scoring less than 10 seconds after this particular set piece in Liverpool’s last 2 games.

Set pieces and long-balls into the box have been Liverpool’s Achilles heel for a while now, with a lack of concentration also a key issue for their defence.
Despite the dire need for one and their sincere efforts to land Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk, no centre-back was recruited during the summer transfer, and manager Jurgen Klopp is yet to come up with a constant lineup in defence this term.
Liverpool have rotated goalkeeper, fullbacks and centre-back pairings since via season started, and it remains to be seen if a consistent back-5 would be named anytime soon.
For all their heavy metal football and fearsome attack, Liverpool continue to leak cheap goals at the back, and that could prove to be their undoing this term having already been dumped out of one competition at the first time of asking.
