Coutinho makes a big revelations regarding his desire

Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has admitted that he was interested in moving to Barcelona during the summer.

The Brazilian international was strongly linked with a move to the Catalan giants who had numerous bids for him rejected by the Reds who remained insistent that they would not sell.

Coutinho did not feature for the Reds during the early parts of the season and also handed in a transfer request to the Merseyside club which indicated that he wanted to leave.

He has since admitted that this was the case and said, “What happened was a job offer and, in life, sometimes you get interested. Sometimes you don’t and, in my case, everyone knows that I got interested, my family too.

“But as I have always said, it is a great offer to receive an offer from such a great club like that. But it is also a great honour being here. Liverpool is a great club worldwide. I’m here and I will give my best as always. I’m working hard, my thoughts are on the team’s goals, making a good season.”

Coutinho is a key player within the Liverpool squad and Jurgen Klopp will certainly be happy to have him in his team, at least for now.
