Celtic boss Rodgers explains why he is pleased despite PSG hammering

Despite Celtic losing 5-0 to PSG in a Champions League group stage encounter on Tuesday, manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he was happy with the performances of two of his players.

The Hoops were convincingly outplayed during the game which only served to illustrate that they are massive differences in quality between Celtic and the elite teams of World football.

During the game, the Scottish giants started young defensive do Anthony Ralston and Kieran Tierney. Though the pair would certainly not have had memorable games, Rodgers revealed that he thinks that they played decent games.

Whilst talking about the duos performance during the game, Rodgers said, “I (have) seen my two young full-backs playing against Mbappe and Neymar. I thought they did exceptionally well.”

Big things are expected of the young defensive duo.  Though Tierney is just 20 years old, he has served as captain for the Hoops in the past and could end up playing for an elite team in World football in the future.
