Star reportedly hands Liverpool a transfer shock

According to reports, Emre Can is demanding an exit clause to be placed on his contract should he renew his contract with Liverpool.

Can is currently entering the final year of his current deal and has been linked with a move away from the Merseyside club.

Reports recently have suggested that Jurgen Klopp’s team are looking to offer the German improved terms and increase his salary from £55,000 to £100,000 a week.  As Can is a key player for the Reds, they will be naturally hesitant about letting him go.

Italian giants Juventus are said to be already monitoring the situation and Juve chief Bappe Marotta admitted that his club are interested in the player, saying, “Liverpool are holding on tight to Emre Can.

“His contract expires in June, we’ll be able to negotiate with him from January. We won’t hide the fact we like him. But currently he is a Liverpool player, so we can only admire him from afar.”
