According to reports, Everton star Wayne Rooney has met with his club’s manager Ronald Koeman for the first time since his drink-driving offence which took place during the weekend.
The 31-year -ld Rooney is set to appear in court later this month as he was three times over the legal alcohol consumption limit during the time of the incident.
Though Koeman is said to be disappointed by the actions of the veteran, the club have yet to take any disciplinary action against the player as they are waiting for the outcome of the legal investigation.
Rooney is no stranger to controversy having been involved in his fair share of misbehavior during his younger days. This will certainly be a disappointment to Everton and well as Koeman.
Part of why Rooney was brought back to his boyhood club this summer was to act as a role model to young talent within the club and the recent incident certainly states otherwise.
