Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson is one player that has always divided opinions amongst both Liverpool and England fans, and it appears he still has a lot of people to win over following Three Lions’ narrow defeat of Slovakia on Monday’s World Cup qualifiers.
Gareth Southgate’s men came back from a goal down to see off the tough visitors by 2 goals to 1, with Henderson having a hand in Marcus Rashford’s winner.
The assist means England’s stand-in captain for the game has now recorded more assists (4) under Gareth Southgate than any other player.
As a result of the victory, England are now just a victory away from qualifying for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup having won 6 and drawn 2 of their last 8 games in UEFA Group F.
Liverpool’s Henderson apparently didn’t impress some of the fans that watched the cracker despite his match-winning involvement.
A couple of them took to twitter to rip into the 27-year-old midfielder.
Have to admire Jordan Henderson. To forge a career being this shit is quite an achievement.#ENGSVK

Jordan Henderson is the worst player I’ve ever seen play for England.
