Liverpool reportedly agree to stunning £138million deal for wantaway star

The Sun has made very bold claims in an exclusive report concerning the Philippe-Coutinho-to-Barcelona saga.

Liverpool is said to have agreed to a £138million deal -Barcelona’s 4th bid – for the Brazilian midfielder, making him the 2nd most expensive signing in history.

It’s also claimed an official announcement by Barcelona regarding the development is due by 7pm – 5 hours before the summer window slam shuts in Spain.

The Reds have rejected every of the Catalans bids till date except this, and from the look of things, manager Jurgen Klopp is already preparing for life without the bag-of-tricks midfielder.

While no news would be truly believed until either or both clubs officially confirm Coutinho’s deal, South American football expert Tim Vickery claims the Liverpool star could already have joined Barcelona, but it is being secret so Reds can buy replacements (Oxlade-Chamberlain?) before prices skyrocket.

Despite reports of a back injury which has prevented him from making an appearance for Liverpool this term, the 25-year-old midfielder was declared fully fit by Brazil’s medical team, and he featured for 30 minutes in the 2-0 World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador hours ago, scoring a goal.

From the look of things, the answer to which club Coutinho would play for next weekend might have to wait until past transfer deadline in Spain.
