According to reports, Cardiff City are willing to take Johnny Hayes on loan if the arrival of Patrick Roberts at Celtic makes him surplus to requirements.
Cardiff boss Neil Warnock had attempted to sign Hayes last January as well as during the summer, though the player eventually opted to join the Hoops from Aberdeen.
Since Celtic managed to re-sign Patrick Roberts from Manchester City, Hayes could be set to receive limited playing time and a loan move may thus be tempting for the 29-year-old.
Cardiff are currently in good form and are on top of the Championship table having won all five of the League games thus far. The prospect of playing for a club that can launch a Premier League promotion push may also appeal to Hayes.
It remains to be seen whether Brendan Rodgers side will allow the loan move to take place or whether they still see Hayes as playing a key role for them this season.
