Celtic star not fazed despite difficult Champions League group

Celtic star Kieran Tierney has said that his club will show no fear when they have to come up against the likes of PSG and Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stages.

The Scottish giants will play in group B of Europe’s Premier Club competition alongside PSG, Bayern and Belgian giants Anderlecht.

There is no doubt that the Hoops will be viewed as underdogs by most pundits.  The reason for this is because it is widely believed that Scottish football is not on par with that of Europe’s elite Leagues. Also, Celtic have failed to make an impression in the Champions League during recent years.

Tierney however is confident that his team can fight to do well by saying, “You just need to do your normal job and defend as best you can. We know we’ll be coming up against top class players but we won’t go in nervous or with any fear.

“Every European game is a big pressure game. You want to get into the Champions League and the qualifying games are pressure games, but we dealt with that and now we’re here.

“The high-pressure games we play in like semi-finals and cup finals give us great experience for moments like this.”
