Everton have officially confirmed the signing of Gylfi Sigurðsson from Swansea for a £45million club record fee.

Spurs included a 10% sell-on clause in the move that took the Iceland star to the Welsh club in the summer of 2014, and will now pocket £4.5million from his sale.
The north London club had shown interest in re-signing Sigurðsson this summer, while Leicester City reportedly also made an attempt with a £40million bid.

The Iceland international looks like the last piece of the puzzle as the Blues hope to finish in top 6 this term, and could in all likelihood write his name in Everton folklore in his time at Goodison Park.
