Celtic captain Scott Brown has insisted that Kieran Tierney is a natural born leader. The 20-year-old Tierney captained the Hoops during their 5-0 thumping of Kilmarnock as a result of Brown’s suspension.
In the process, he became the youngest ever player to captain the club and also marked off the occasion with a brilliant goal from 40 yards out.
Brown is now confident of Tierney’s abilities to lead and said of the youngster, “He was born to be a captain. He’s a warrior. The fans love him and the lads love him as well. If anyone is going to take it off me, it would be a proud moment to give it to the wee man.”
Tierney is definitely highly-rated and is one of the best young Scottish prospects in years. He will certainly continue to churn out good performance for Brendan Rodgers men.
He will however have to leave Scotland at some point if he wishes to gain the respect of the football community as a whole.
