Everton want to strengthen these four departments this summer

Everton have made no secret of their huge ambition of breaking into the top six this upcoming season, and boss Ronald Koeman is making all the required and needed tinkering to his squad ahead of the big task.

Thus far, the Toffees have made 6 major signings, but the Dutch manager wants 4 more signings as he hopes to make the big break in the EPL in 2017-18.

Koeman wants additions made to the midfield, striking, centre-back and full-back departments.

Talking to Liverpool Echo after their last pre-season game on Sunday; a 2-2 draw against Sevilla, Koeman said when asked what should be considered a priority, getting Sigurdsson or a striker, “Both positions we need and also the left centre back and full back cover.

“That’s three positions we’re looking for and one is not more important than the other to give some fuel for all these high expectations”

Gylfi Sigurdsson’s deal will be completed any moment from now, while various targets in the aforementioned positions continued to be linked with a move.

Everton finished in 7th place in the league last season, missing out on a top 6 finish by 8 points. Having already spent £91.2million thus far, and with some more cash to be splashed, Koeman will be under huge pressure to deliver next term.
