Everton reportedly dealt blow in their hopes of signing highly-rated goalkeeper

As per The Sun, Bolton youth keeper and Everton target Jake Turner is at the centre of a tussle between new suitors Tottenham and Manchester United.

This could deal a huge blow on the Toffees’ plans to secure the signature of the highly-rated England youth international.

The 18-year-old has been with Bolton youth teams for years, progressing through the ranks but is yet to make his senior team debut.

Despite that, the Championship side have tied him down to a deal that expires in 2019.

Everton have kept tabs on Turner since the early weeks of the transfer window, and are hoping to add him to the under-23 squad ahead of their Premier League-2 title defence campaign.

The FA coaching staff believes Turner can force his way into the Three Lions squad few years from now.

The Toffees reckon they would be getting a prospective first-choice goalie if the teenage sensation agrees to a move.

Bolton are also likely to let him go for the right price as they look to raise funds as they gear towards promotion. Everton will simply have to beat frontrunners Tottenham and United to Turner’s signature by outbidding them.
