Despite speculation suggesting that he could be moving to Liverpool, Rennes captain Benjamin Andre has revealed that he is only focused on the upcoming season with his current club.
The Reds have been linked with a possible move for the 27-year-old Andre with a £15 million bid thought to be possibly made.
The player has however revealed that he is only focusing on the season ahead with his club and said, “There is a project here that everyone knows. I was at one point in my career where I had to make decisions, I had one year left.
“There were other options but [the fact] I am no longer the youngster made me want to continue with the Rennes.”
Andre is seemingly happy at Rennes, having recently extended his contract with the club. The defensive midfielder has been on the books of the club for the past four years after having moved from Ajaccio.
