Liverpool reportedly edging closer to an unwanted major transfer

Spanish source Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Barcelona are edging closer to completing the signing of Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

The Spanish giants have reportedly lined up the 25-year-old Coutinho as a replacement for Neymar, who recently joined PSG for £198 million.

As Coutinho is a key player for the Reds, he will not be sold cheaply, with reports stating that the Merseyside club will be expecting a price of around £89 million for the Brazil international.

Given that many South American legends have plied their trade for Barcelona over the years, Coutinho may be tempted in a move.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have reportedly also identified West Ham star Manuel Lanzini as a replacement for Coutinho.

Despite West Ham being disappointing in terms of their performances last season, Lanzini drew praise for his performances and is now regarded as being arguably one of the most creative players in the Premier League.
