Everton forward reportedly wanted by Portuguese manager

As per The Sun, Watford are keen on bringing Everton winger Aaron Lennon to Vicarage Road on a loan deal, as new man-in-charge Marco Silva wants much-needed pace on the flanks.

Birmingham City have also expressed their interest in taking the 30-year-old on loan, but Everton are looking for a permanent move as he’s no longer in the plans of boss Ronald Koeman.

Lennon started just 6 Premier League games last term, coming off the bench another 5 times and registering just an assist in the process.

With his current contract ticking down into its final year, Everton aren’t likely to hand him an extension, and would possibly sell him on the cheap as he arrived from Tottenham for just £4.5million in 2015.

Koeman has been cutting off players he has deemed surplus to requirements from the squad, and Lennon is most likely on the list.

While he is somewhat out of favour at Goodison Park, the veteran wideman can still make something out of the little time left of his career at Watford.

For one last time, his pace could prove too much to handle for opposition defenders. From the look of things, he doesn’t have a chance to revive his playing mojo at Everton, so a move elsewhere would be perfect.
