Everton reportedly ready to take their summer spending spree beyond £200million

According to reports, Everton are ready to take their summer spending spree beyond the £200 million mark by making three new significant signings.

The Toffees have spent heavily this summer recruiting the likes of Davy Klaassen, Jordan Pickford, Henry Onyekuru, Sandro Ramirez, Michael Keane, Wayne Rooney and Cuco Martina.

Everton are now said to be keen on signing Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson and are also wanting to sign a new striker and centre-back.

The club have been linked with Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud, who is uncertain of whether he will play regularly for the Gunners next season following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette at the club and he could be available to purchase for Everton. They are also said to have their eyes on Crystal Palace forward Christian Benteke.

On the defensive side, with Ashley Williams now soon to be 33 and Phil Jagielka soon to be 35, the club may need a new centre-back especially as the duo are nearing the end of their playing careers and manager Ronald Koeman is currently in the market to fulfill such a need.
