According to The Sun, Serie A giants AS Roma have approached Liverpool for the signature of France international Mamadou Sakho.
Roma are keen to sign a quality replacement for Antonio Rudiger who recently left for Chelsea, and are now back for the out-of-favour and wantaway Liverpool defender having earlier considered him as a prospective signing back in April.
The services of the 26-year-old centre-back are worth £30million as per Liverpool’s valuation, and they are looking to get him off their books permanently this summer after him and boss Jurgen Klopp fell out.
Mamadou is also being targeted by Crystal Palace having impressed for them and played a huge role in their survival battle during a six-month loan stint last season.
Sakho was left out of the 30-man Liverpool squad that went on tour to Germany, and is nearing the end of his days at Anfield having not played, nor trained with the senior team since last summer.
Selling him for £30million would definitely be good business considering he arrived Merseyside for just £18million 4 summers ago.
