Everton reportedly receive response regarding whopping £45million offer

According to reports, Swansea have rejected second bid from Everton for Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is reportedly also a target of his former club Tottenham.

The Swans are believed to have rejected a first bid from the Toffees believed to be in the region of £40 million. Now it is believed that they have rejected a second offer of £40 million with ad-ons that could make the final price closer to £45 million.

Sigurdsson appears to want to leave the Welsh club, having not taken part in its pre-season tour of the United States.

Club owners Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien have emphasized though that they will not be bullied into selling the player unless they receive a good offer.

They issued a statement stating, “We will not be bullied or forced into a decision until a club meets our valuation of the player, no matter whether they believe they have an agreement with the player.”
