Aston Villa have reportedly joined Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Fulham and Derby in the race to land Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo on a season-long loan according to the Mirror.
Villans boss Steve Bruce wants to return his side to the topflight next season, and has already strengthened the team with the additions of John Terry, Glenn Whelan, Ahmed Elmohamady, Christopher Samba, and Sam Johnstone.
Ojo has been identified as Villa’s next signing, and Liverpool are willing to let the 20-year-old go on a third loan having found it hard to break into the first team.
Having already featured for Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton in the second division, Ojo has a handful of experience that can help boost his campaign at Villa if signed up.
The under-20 World Cup winner has made only 13 Liverpool appearances since making his competitive debut for the Reds in January 2016.
Mohamed Salah’s arrival means Ojo will rarely get a look-in for action next term, and with regular first-team football on offer at Villa Park, a temporary move is best for the youngster’s development to continue.
