Everton reportedly agree fee over another major signing

According to reports, Everton have reached a deal with Swansea over the sale of Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Iceland international Sigurdsson played a key role in helping to keep the Swans in the Premiership last season and according to reports, the Toffees will have to fork out a club record fee in order to bring him to Goodison Park.

Sigurdsson did not travel with Swansea during their pre-season tour of the US and reports suggested that they were demanding at least £50 million to part ways with their star.

The Toffees have showed their determination to challenge for a top four finish next season, having thus far recruited Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Wayne Rooney, Sandro Ramirez and Cuco Martina and it now appears that they will also be signing Sigurdsson, having reportedly agreed £45 million fee with the Welsh club.

The 27-year-old Sigurdsson will surely be a good addition to Ronald Koeman’s side and is arguably now at the peak of his career.
