Liverpool reportedly make enquiry for Spanish international; Arsenal also interested

Vazquez

Spanish news outlet Diario Madridista has confirmed that Liverpool have made enquiries about Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, and they are in the race together with Arsenal for the 26-year-old.

Although Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has added Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke to his attacking ranks, he could do with more top notch options, and Vazquez appears to be one.

The Spain international has been a fringe player at the Santiago Bernabeu, starting just 12 La Liga games last term, so the possibility of regular playing time at Anfield could tempt him into agreeing to a move if a solid offer is tabled.

Vazquez’s numerous attacking abilities have also attracted Roma, and it seems leaving Madrid this summer remains a possibility.

With no specific transfer fees attached to the versatile forward, it remains unknown how the competition for a move would pan out between his suitors, but he could prove a suitable option for the Reds if landed.
