According to reports, Everton are interested in signing defender Presnel Kimpembe from Paris-Saint Germain, though it has been added that the French club are not willing to part ways with the player at this point in time.
The Toffees have been very active this summer having thus far, having signed Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford, Sandro Ramirez, Davy Klaasen, Cuco Martina and Wayne Rooney. With Keane at the club, another centre-back will add extra depth to Ronald Koeman’s side.
Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka are now in the latter years of their careers and with Ramiro Funes Mori so far, has proven to be inconsistent in terms of his performances. Therefore, another centre-back will be a good addition for the Merseyside club.
The 21-year-old Kimpembe is a product of the PSG youth development system and has been heralded as one of the top young talents in French football. He currently boasts 38 first team appearances for the Ligue 1 giants.
