According to reports, Liverpool star Lucas Leiva is involved in talks with Lazio. The midfielder’s future at Anfield is in doubt after he was reportedly not offered a new deal by manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 30-year-old Lucas saw limited game time for the Reds last season as he started only 12 games and came on as a substitute a further 12 times.
A move to Italy will not be complicated for the Brazil international as he also holds an Italian passport. Lazio finished in 11th position on the Serie A standings and are looking to bolster their squad in order to improve.
The versatility and experience of Lucas will be a good addition to the side. Lucas is a long-serving member of Liverpool, having arrived at the club from Gremio in 2007 for £5 million.
He is adored by many fans of the club and has played alongside greats such as Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher during his career.
