Joe Bryan is the new target of the Hoops, according to reports from the Daily Mirror. The 23-year-old defender is reportedly a priority signing for Celtic’s boss Brendan Rodgers this summer. Daily Mirror is alleging that Celtic have already established some contact for Bryan.
Several other clubs have also inquired about Bryan and among them are Burnley and Middlesbrough, who have a need for the left-back, and according to the media, Bristol City player is their perfect solution.
Bryant has spent his whole career with Bristol Rovers. Since 2011, when he debuted, he played 159 games and scored 11 goals, and in the process, has become one of the most loved individuals in the club.
During last season, Bryan played 40 games, scoring one goal along with providing 5 assists. If the Hoops land Bryan, they would gain an offensive minded left back who has an excellent and superb characteristic and work ethic.
The asking price of £3 million could however prove to be a major problem for Celtic and the Hoops will surely negotiate for a lower fee.
