West Brom reportedly eyeing £15million swoop from Everton

According to reports, West Brom are eyeing a move for Everton midfielder James McCarthy as a replacement for Darren Fletcher, who has joined Stoke City.

The Toffees are demanding £15 million for the services of McCarthy and manager Ronald Koeman is reportedly willing to sell him.

After losing former Manchester United player Fletcher to Stoke, the Baggies will need to add more creativity and dynamism to their side and are aiming to bring McCarthy to their ranks.

Newcastle United are also keen on McCarthy but are not willing to pay the fee, which means that Tony Pulis’s side will be favorites to sign him.

Since the funds required to purchase McCarthy are within the financial constraints of West Brom and also as the Baggies will be eager to bolster their side this summer, there is a very strong chance that a transfer will happen.

McCarthy will also be keen to play regularly, which he did not do this past season.
