Chelsea star Diego Costa is reportedly relishing the prospect of having Romelu Lukaku as his team-mate next season.
The 23-year-old Lukaku is in the final two years of his contract with Everton and after refusing a contract extension with the club, he could be sold this summer if a big enough offer is made.
Costa appears to be keen on welcoming Lukaku to Stamford Bridge and said, “I do not know, that’s a decision for the club.
“Of course Lukaku is a very big player who has played an impressive season. I hope he will ever have the possibility to sign at Chelsea because Chelsea is a unique club.”
According to reports, Chelsea are leading the race to sign their former player. There were also reports recently which have suggested that Costa could be moving to the Chinese Super League this summer. However the Spain international recently denied that he will be going to China anytime soon.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte reportedly had talks this week with the Blues hierarchy about whether he should sign Lukaku this summer.
