Agent reportedly plotting to help Everton sign French striker

According to Italian source Calciomercato, the agent of AC Milan flop M’baye Niang is trying to fix the former French youth international a move to Everton this summer.

The player’s representative Federico Pastorello is said to have met with Milan officials to present an offer from the Toffees for the 22-year-old striker.

Niang is likely to be sold by Milan after becoming surplus to requirements at the Italian club. He was sent on loan to Premiership club Watford in January but failed to impress finding the net just twice in 19 games.

Everton are looking to bring in new strikers during the summer as they look to fill in the void left by Romelu Lukaku, who is expected to depart the club this summer.

Though Niang’s record for both Milan and Watford is not particularly impressive, Everton manager Ronald Koeman has a knack for bringing out the best in young players and will hope to do so with the young Frenchman should a deal go ahead.
