Celtic legend Pierre Van Hooijdonk believes that Brendan Rodgers has what it takes to lead the Hoops to the Europa League final.
Due to Celtic having a lower budget as compared to many of the elite European heavyweights, it is difficult to see them reaching the deep knockout stages of the Champions League anytime soon, however Van Hooijdonk believes that Rodgers can lead them to a Europa League final.
Van Hooijdonk said, “I do think this Celtic could get to the Europa League final next season. I have been very impressed with what I have seen this year. There is a big change from last season.”
The Hoops have done well this season, winning the Scottish Premiership without losing a single game.
However they will have to do well in European competition to prove that they are really a force to be reckoned with. To do that will require transfers this summer as well as good tactics from Rodgers next season.
