Everton are reportedly keen on bringing in Anton Donkor for a second loan spell at Goodison Park.
The 19-year-old joined the Toffees on loan from Wolfsburg in January; however an injury ruled him out for the rest of the season and limited him to just three appearances for Everton under 23’s.
The Merseyside club confirmed that there was no need for surgery, though Donkor did return to Germany to complete his recovery.
They are set to now engage in talks with Wolfsburg again to bring the German youngster to the club for a second loan spell.
Everton were reportedly keen on purchasing Donkor and his loan deal included a clause that would see the club pay just £1.5 million to sign him on a permanent deal.
A deal may well be on the cards. Ronald Koeman did not get enough opportunities to watch Donkor in action and he may be presented with more.
