After Coleman, Everton suffer another huge injury blow ahead of Liverpool

Everton have been handed an injury blow ahead of Saturday’s Merseyside derby against Liverpool after Ramiro Funes Mori had to be stretchered off during Argentina’s 2-0 victory against Bolivia on Tuesday night.

The centre-back had to leave the match after 37 minutes and is almost certain to miss Saturday’s game against Liverpool.

The absence of Funes Mori will deprive manager Ronald Koeman of a key figure as the club hopes to continue their impressive form this season by finishing as high as possible in the League.

Funes Mori is now unlikely to make the trip to Anfield, where he received a red card last season after a poor challenge on Divock Origi.

The latest setback comes after the Toffees key right back Seamus Coleman suffered a double leg break while captaining the Republic of Ireland during their draw against Wales on Friday. James McCarthy was also unable to compete for the Republic of Ireland after suffering an injury during warm up.
