Everton are keen on signing Swansea City star Gylfi Sigurdsson next season, according to reports from the Liverpool Echo.
Ronald Koeman is an admirer of the 27-year-old and had a £28 million bid rejected last summer. Nonetheless, the Toffees are set to reignite their aims to sign the Iceland international during the summer.
If Swansea are relegated at the end of the season, Everton will likely have an easy time signing Sigurdsson who will want to play in the top tier of English football.
However should they remain in the top flight next season, it may be a harder process especially given that the player is said to enjoy a good relationship with Swans manager Paul Clement.
Koeman reportedly believes that should he manage to sign the players he is targeting as the Merseyside club will be able to seriously challenge for a place in the top four of the Premier League next season.
Michael Keane and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney are other players that Koeman is reportedly interested in.
