Striker expresses desire to make it at Newcastle United

Sean Longstaff, who is currently on loan at Scottish club Kilmarnock from Newcastle, is hoping to do well enough to impress the Magpies to use him in the first team in the future.

He is drawing inspiration from Paul Dummett as he has already made more than 100 appearances for the Newcastle first team since returning from a loan spell with St Mirren.

Longstaff joined the Scottish club during the January transfer window and has impressed thus far at Rugby Park.

“If you come to Scotland and do well, you can go back and get in the first team,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun, “Paul is the perfect example of that. That is the plan if I carry on doing well here.”

The 19-year-old has bagged two goals and two assists from several League games for a Kilmarnock struggling in the Scottish Premiership. The Newcastle hierarchy will surely be taking note as he has proven that he is capable of contributing goals and assists at the highest level.
