5 Foreign Players Celtic Should Sign This Summer

Brendan Rodgers announced that he doesn’t expect major changes in the Celtic squad during the summer, but that doesn’t mean Celtic won’t try to steal some hot prospects like they stole Moussa Dembele last summer. Here are the top five Celtic transfer targets from abroad:

5 Tosin Adarabioyo

Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts flourished during his loan at Celtic and Brendan Rodgers might look to loan some other talents from City. Adarabioyo is a 19-year-old defender who played at Celtic Park for Manchester City during their Champions League clash. He might be even available for free at the end of the season

4 Nikola Milenkovic

Nikola Milenkovic is another 19-year-old defender from Partizan Belgrade. Celtic scouts allegedly watched this youngster during the recent clash between Red Star and Partizan and he should be available for the fee around one million pounds.

3 Alan Judge

Bretford winger Alan Judge was one of the best players in Championship one year ago, with 14 goals and 11 assists. However, he suffered a horrible injury after a horror tackle from Luke Hyam and he still hasn’t featured in his club this season. He will be out of contract in the summer and many clubs will try to get him.

2 Joe Ledley

Welsh international Joe Ledley fell out of favor at Crystal Palace. His contract is also due to expire in the summer and while he would prefer to stay in the Premier League, he might consider a return to Celtic. He wore the stripes from 2010 until 2014, played 106 games and scored 20 goals for the club.

1 Henry Onyekuru

Young Nigerian attacker Henry Onyekuru was Celtic’s primary target during the January transfer window, but Eupen rejected Celtic’s inquiry. He is only 19 and he scored 12 goals and added 7 assists in Belgian Jupiler League this season. Brendan Rodgers hopes he will buy him for a fee around three million pounds and develop this player into one of the best young strikers in Europe, just like he did with Dembele.
