Striker explains why he rejected Everton and West Ham

Most players would have certainly favored Everton or West Ham United over Watford however M’Baye Niang has said he chose the Hornets because they simply showed more desire in wanting to sign him.

“I had other offers, from Everton and West Ham,” Niang said to the club’s official website. “But they did not get to the same level as Watford in terms of how much they wanted me.”

The AC Milan loanee has enjoyed a good start to life with Watford after the Toffees and the Hammers failed in their attempts to lure him.

Niang failed to establish himself as a senior team player at the San Siro, however he is certainly capable of playing at the highest level as he boasts great pace and power, which are great natural gifts.

Personality clashes with Milan boss Vincenzo Montello also contributed to the limited amount of opportunities he had.

If he delivers good performances for the Hornets heading into the final phase of the season, Everton and West Ham may regret why they did not try harder to sign him.
