Jokanovic bemoans £40million mistake, delivers warning about Sessegnon

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has said that his club made a mistake by allowing £40million-rated Moussa Dembele to join Celtic last summer.

The 20-year-old has been impressive for the Scottish giants this season, establishing himself as a key player of the first team under Brendan Rodgers. During his 41 matches in all competitions this season, the France under 21 international has bagged 26 goals.

“We make a big mistake,” Jokanovic told The Times about Dembele. “We tried to get him to stay but in this modern life he prefers a different way. We are fortunate we don’t make this mistake with Ryan Sessegnon.”

Sessegnon is reportedly a target of Tottenham and Manchester City. It is unlikely that Fulham will be able to hold onto him as the prospect of playing for a trophy challenging team will surely be appealing.

However Jokanovic’s comments do suggest that the 16-year-old will not be allowed to leave easily.
