Everton have entered the race to sign Hull defender Harry Maguire, according to reports. With Koeman having an ageing backline and veteran Phil Jagielka expected to leave at the end of the season, Maguire may be a good fit for the Merseyside club.
The Tigers do not wish to sell Maguire whom they value at £15 million. If they do get relegated at the end of the season, they will however in all likelihood have to sell.
The defender is also out of contract in June 2018 and will surely want to move to a club which challenges for trophies so one can assume that he will probably leave.
In the end, it will all come down to who is able to offer him the best deal. Ronald Koeman’s former club Southampton as well as Tottenham Hotspur are also reportedly interested in Maguire.
Maguire’s versatility is another strong point of his play. He is able to play in a back three or back four.
