Liverpool Wingers Impress on Saturday

It’s been a while since the Reds saw Sadio Mane blitz the opposition into submission.  Well at least six weeks time.  But he did so yesterday, with the help of some terrible Spurs defense, mind you.

But the Senegal man wasn’t the only Red to impress from the right wing yesterday.  In the early kick off, on-loan Lazar Markovic had a great showing for Hull City in a 2-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates.

For Mane, he’s just now only gotten his feet back under him after being gone for the Africa Cup of Nations.  And it shows as he scored two vital goals.  As for Markovic, his Liverpool career has to be hanging on by a thread at this point.

While Mane will no doubt be a part of the squad for the foreseeable future, it’s the Serbian that will be hoping to impress.  And with performances like yesterday, it’d do Liverpool well to have him with the first team again.  IF he can continue at that level, he and Mane would be a true handful to deal with.
